Quite Possibly the World's Easiest Halloween Makeup!

For Halloween this year I’m really not sure what to be doing. Every year I think of hundreds of ideas for the 31st and this year has been no exception.

I really wanted to do a sorta 'pretty' & simple look for a change. I do love to do scary, gory, bloody looks but the time comes for a little change every now and again, but don't worry the liquid latex will be out sooner or later..

Obviously I wanted to use blood tho because I mean, hello… Its Halloween. So I thought I’d focus on black, and lots of it. And I came up with a really simple yet effect look that anyone can recreate. All you really need is a black smudgy eyeliner and a black powder, which I bet almost all of you will have.. And maybe some glitter if your feelin’ extra fancy.

For skin, use your normal foundation and replace your usual contour with a black shadow, it’ll almost mix with the flesh coloured foundation and create a real hollow grey tone. Make sure to contour under the lips, the nose and the forehead, it’ll also add to the gaunt look.

For the brows, again use your normal brow colours, but have it much lighter at the front of the brows and gradually add in your black, so you’ll end up with two tones through your brows but most of the black shade at the ends/tails & don't forget to clean up under your brows with a much lighter concealer (or white face paint) to get a really sharp, clean edge.

Change up your routine & add black throughout your
 brows!

Eye time. Use a black cream or pencil and line the whole inner eye, upper lash line and blend out the edges with a clean brush. Work on getting the right shape, so if you need to use some tape and really focus on classic cat eye shape, add most of the colour onto the centre of the lid and have a ‘faded’ out effect around all the edges, really concentrating on the pointed shape towards your temples. Once you've got your desired shape, set the cream with a black shadow, again most of the colour in the centre and blend out and around the eye. If you want to add some sparkle, place a black reflective glitter in the centre of the lid, another really cool effect, is blacked out contact lenses, but maybe not the best thing if you’re planning on getting a bit, tipsy?

Before you get all smudgey!
Go wild & smudge til' your hearts content.
What I did & only because I love fake blood.. come on it's Halloween! I almost did a bloody tear dripping from my eye, got bored and then smeared it almost al over my face. Of course you don’t need to do this to the extreme that I did, but it’ll look really cool and add to the Halloween look. If you don’t want it near your eyes, maybe even the side of the lips or the nose! Remember to be creative!
Before i went a lil crazy with blood

After i went a lil crazy with blood

You can do a multitude of looks & shapes when it comes to the lips for this look, you can do a simple black lip, wither it be glossy or matte (personally id go super glossy, almost like a lacquer) or you can do a black ombre look, with black and red or black and purple. A grey lip, a flesh toned nude, I mean the list is endless.

Outlined with black eyeliner and red lipstick in the centre!

So regardless, if you’re going as a pumpkin, a cat or a slutty maid, always remember to always stay with friends and be safe!

Have fun my little goblins,
