I
hate cream to powder shadows. I never understood them, and still don't entirely to be honest. Either you like tradition powder shadows, or you like creams.. don't be greedy. But recently i've been grabbing the new Clarins cream to powder long lasting shadows more and more.

08 Heather, 07 Carbon, 03 Aquatic Grey & 01 Aquatic Rose |
Clarins actually send me their whole summer collection way back in May time, and in the collection there were 2 of them included, 01 Aquatic Rose & 03 Aquatic Grey. I'm not sure if those two are still available, because they might have been limited edition.. I'm going entirely by the names, because the collection was called Aquatic Treasures. I actually did a look using just them and only one brush back when I received them, I think there should be a photo below... i'm still getting used to this blogging stuff.

I used one brush and 2 shades only! |
They have two types 'Ombre Mattes' and 'Iridescent Shadow' within the range they have lots of textures, styles, finishes and shades. Ranging from neutrals to poppy colours, £19 each. They're such a strange texture, it's somewhere between and mousse and a foam almost, they're super pigmented and really easy to blend. I think you get a really nice finish with these, it's a nice pretty look that seems like you've put a lot of effort in, when you really spent 30 seconds on each eye. These are ideal for people who struggle with shadow application because they're the definition of 'Eyeshadow for Dummies'

Pretty & Pigmented. |
I think if you're going to get some of these, Heather (the first plumy shade) is the way to go. I think this will suit everyone, from all ages and skin tones. It's so pretty & so on trend right now, Plum/Mauve being such a popular shade right now, especially coming into Autumn/Winter time. The first two swatches are the Mattes and the second are the Iridescent ones. Also I thought i'd mention that my Mum also, absolutely loves these! She a pro at powder shadows, but tends to struggle with cream shadows, but she can really work with these and finds them easy to blend also. Make sure to let me know if you pick some of these up!
