And no, it's not Champagne Pop!



I almost couldn't believe it when I found out they were actually bringing out a pressed version of Pearl, my favourite liquid highlight in a compact! I almost ran into Space NK on Monday like a mad person, and was lucky enough to buy the last one! (I told myself it was meant to be.)

I'm honestly not a fan of golden highlighters, they don't suit my skin tone and they make me look weird. So I tend to go towards the more white toned colours like my ultimate, all time favourite highlighter was Nars Devotee which was limited edition, why?! So that's why I thought Pearl would be perfect for me, because it's along the same lines.

Pearl Shimmering Skin Perfector is exactly what it says on the tin, it makes you look like your granny's best set of pearls which is what I love. When worn on the skin, it's such a pigmented product that you honestly don't need a lot when picking it up with your brush, otherwise you'll end up looking icy or like the Tin Man, which I learnt on my first application.



It's a cooled toned, frosted colour that looks very luminescent on the skin. The compact itself comes in at £32 for 7g's. If you were disappointed with Champagne Pop as much as I was when I saw it in real life, due to it being too golden for my skin tone, then I would recommend you try out Moonstone or Pearl, I really think you'd like them.



I think Pearl is slowly becoming my new favourite. I really love how it applies and how it really makes you glow from within. It doesn't make you look glittery, or shiny which is my biggest problem at the moment. So I would reccomend this for people who are pale, or who love a really glowy, but not goldy highlight.



As you can see in the swatch photos, the first picture I took it with the product heavy applied and in completely natural lighting, then in my second picture I took it blended out with a fluffy brush and then took it with the flash on.





Overall, I'm in love and it's slowly becoming a favourite and I've only had it for a week. Let me know your favourite highlights, I'd love to try them out!
