Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette for £4?

I keep hearing through bloggers and youtuber's within the beauty community that the drugstore is really starting to become more advanced and everything is becoming almost identical to the highend brands & products.

MUA is a brand that seems to pop up all the time when comparing to the higher end market, because they have a range of eyeshadow palette's which are exact dupes for all of Urban Decay's Naked range.

I have the original Naked, which is probably the best in my opinion, and I wasn't all that fussed on Naked3, but I really like the second palette because of the colours and tones. So I thought I'd grab the MUA 'Undress Me Too' palette which is meant to be identical to the famous Naked2.

At first I wasn't that impressed because of the packaging, you really do get what you pay for; a plastic compact that would crack if you closed it too hard. Please learn from my mistakes.

But I guess the most important thing is the shadows themselves, which I actually do quite like.
I just want to say first of all, some of the shadows are nowhere near Urban Decay quality, but some would actually surprise you how pigmented they actually are.

Wink, Obsessed & Tranquil from MUA
In the swatch photo below you can see that I've swatched the dupes side by side. I don't think I'd be able to tell what is what, other than the black. I find that the black is the let down of the cheaper palette, as well as the first shade. They're both pretty awful, but everything else in between is pretty much a perfect dupe. If you couldn't tell already, the first, 3rd 5th and 7th swatch are the MUA, and the other's are Urban Decay's.

Okay, so the round up. Would I recommend this palette? Yeah, totally. You'll just need to buy a good black shadow to make up for the MUA one. The lasting power. The shadows lasted a good few hours without creasing or completely vanishing all together, but you would need a good eye primer underneath. Total rating 6/10. The cheap packaging and the first & last shadow really let it down, but other than that it's totally worth it!

Hope you enjoyed today's post. Special thanks to my sister Rachelle, for lending me the palette to swatch and photograph.
