Top 3 Cleansers

I love a really good cleanse. I'm constantly trying out new skincare brands and products, but my most favourite thing of all is a good cleanser. Balms, oils, gels... you name it, I've most likely tried it. However, three cleansers remain at the top of my wish list and they are the ones that I keep going back to no matter what.

Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm

This is an absolute gem. It's not only a joy to use but the end results are fantastic. A moisturising balm that smells delicious and doesn't irritate my skin or eyes. After massaging this all over the face (no need to wet the face first) the balm melts into an oil and you then use the damp cloth to remove the residue. I find that I don't necessarily need to moisturise afterwards because it's so hydrating and comforting. My skin also looks radiant and fresh. This product is brilliant at removing makeup too. I would also say that this balm might be too rich for people with really oily skin so maybe try before you buy! 200ml, £55, Space NK.

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish

Similar concept to the Emma Hardie, but a thick cream that has a pump dispenser. It not only deeply cleanses the skin but also gently exfoliates, then you remove with a hot cloth. Cleanse and Polish is a great product for first timers who want to ditch their soap or face wash and get into properly cleansing the skin. The 100ml bottle (£14) lasts up to a month. It's such a popular product that you can actually sign up to a monthly subscription service and a new bottle magically lands on your doorstep at the start of each month. I'm currently using a limited edition version which the brand occasionally does, but the original has a lovely, comforting gentle spa-like scent. It's great at removing makeup, even waterproof mascara. If, like me, you occasionally get that urge for a really good deep cleanse, then C&P is perfect for that! Don't just take my word for it; pick up a miniature trial-size bottle for around £5 at Boots and Liz Earle online.

Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel

Yet another non-foaming gel that turns into an oil upon application to the skin. When working at Space NK, I was trained on this brand and instantly fell in love with this particular product. Oskia is a modern 'high tech' brand that's taking the skincare world by storm. Everything is 98% natural. The cleanser itself is full of incredible ingredients including Pumpkin Enzymes which help to add a glow to the skin - and, believe me, this is exactly what it does. It brightens and deeply cleanses pores and removes every trace of makeup. It smells yummy (because of the pumpkin) and is great for all skin types, although they say oiler skin types should use a muslin cloth to remove the product from the skin. I love using Oskia in the morning because it really helps to waken me up and gives me a wonderful glow throughout the day. £28, 100mls.

If you're the type of person who uses just soap and water to wash their face, make it your 2016 resolution to invest in a cleaner. I guarantee your skin will thank you for it.
