MUST HAVE FOR A MAKEUP ARTISTS KIT

I am currently obsessed with these little gems at the moment. So much so, I'm debating on buying more colours and switching my usual Laura Mercier Silk Creme foundation that I carry in my kit out for these Custom Cover Drops.

To simplify it as much as I can, Cover FX Custom Cover Drops are a silicone based fluid that blend seamlessly into a multitude of products, enabling to custom create the amount of coverage you need, depending on how many or how little drops you decide to use.

You can mix between one and four drops, one giving you a light coverage and four drops giving you a full coverage finish (two drops giving you a light/medium and three giving you a medium/full finish). You can mix them into anything, from skincare serums and moisturisers to foundations and concealers. Even thick creams, sunscreens and facial oils.

They come in a 15ml glass bottle, and are dispensed through a dropper pipette. For the 15ml bottles they'll cost you £36, which seems like a lot, but when you work out how many drops you'll be using you'll easily get anywhere between 50 or 70 uses, which is a lot of bang for your buck.

The finish of the drops by themselves is like velvet on your skin, I would say they are pretty comparable to the Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet in terms of finish and texture. To photograph the swatches I used N50 which a much dark colour so you'd be able to see the product and the finish. I used two drops and as you can see from the picture below it is a beautiful finish with pure pigment.

In terms of colour choice and undertones, they come in P, which will be your pinkish tone, N, which I have all mine in because they are a neutral tone and will work well on most and G, which is a more golden, warmer colour. In total they have 25 colours going from P20-50, N10-120 and G20-80. So there will definitely be a colour for you in there somewhere.

I bought one of mine from Space NK, and another from House Of Fraser, so they are easy enough to get a hold of. I was also lucky enough to get some sent to me for review, massive thank you to Sarah in MontyPR!

If you have any requests of brands of products you'd like me to review, please be sure to sent me a Tweet or a tag on Instagram!
